Welcome our New Addition
At 12 hours old, Damien tries out his new legs with Mama in the pasture.
"Taylor Made" (Barn name - Damien) was born Saturday, May 28, 2011 at approximately 7:40 pm. The Rothman Family (including Scooter) were on hand to help with, video and celebrate the birth. Mama Slippers and her colt came through with flying colors. First to visit were Miss Dawn, Miss Cathy and long time friend Kathy S. Our Sunday riders were first to see the new little guy in person and he has had a huge fan club ever since. What fun we will have watching him grow and learn.

Friday June 10, 2011 (2 weeks old) - Today Damien found his voice. A few of us have heard his little high pitched whinney a couple of times in the past week, but today he was talking to the other horses in adjacent pastures. He is cutting his bottom front teeth and is sampling the green grass like his Mama. He has to spread his front legs very wide in order to get his nose to the ground. Can't wait to get a picture of that. He is still nursing on Mama and she kicks at him if he bites too hard .... but he kicks back. He is a strong willed little guy and quite a handfull at times. How DO you discipline a 2 week old foal anyhow?
Thursday June 16, 2011 - Today Damien and Mama got a little exercise in the outdoor riding arena. Sam rode Slippers and Damien ran around checking in with Mama from time to time but also enjoyed running and bucking and even jumping over ground poles. Did we see a flying lead change in there somewhere ??????? He sure is a cutie !!!!!! He will make his debut on Saturday at our Horse Show.
