Donna Rothman, Certified Instructor, has been manager and Head Trainer at Stonehaven Farms since it’s inception in 1993. She was certified shortly after coming to Stonehaven Farms, finishing with very high scores in teaching through Intermediate Level Hunt Seat, Equitation, and Open Jumpers. She has been riding, and showing the circuit for over 30 years. Donna has shown in Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan. She has ridden in Clinics with Olympic riders Anne Kursinski and Laura Kraut, and attended clinics with George Morris, Steve Weiss, Mark Leone, and Susan Harris. For the last 10 years, Donna has attended all Judging Clinics in Hunters, Equitation, Jumpers, and Conformation offered by the American Horseshow Association, now known as USEF.

Donna works hard at continuing her education on the ever-refining sport of English riding by recently becoming a Certified Trainer with the United States Hunter Jumper Association. She specializes in good balance, strong basic skills and correct riding. Donna puts her heart in training both her riders and her horses.

Cathy Rohrs
Instructor, Beginner-Intermediate Riders

Cathy Rohrs has been affiliated with Stonehaven Farms since its inception in 1993 when she started her daughter, Kelly, in lessons. However she did not learn to ride a horse until a year later when she could not just stand on the ground and watch any longer. That was also the year that she teamed up with Donna to begin the Summer Day Camp Program. Soon after, she began instructing the beginner riders in private lessons and later went on to teach regularly in the lesson program. Cathy’s 30 years as a teacher in the public schools make her more than qualified to combine her teaching skills with an interest that she dearly loves. She considers the years that she has worked with horses and riders a privilege and she jumps at the chance to share her enthusiasm for this life-long sport with riders of all ages.

Betsy Greisiger
Instructor, Beginner-Intermediate Riders

Betsy Greisiger has been a riding instructor at Stonehaven Farms since 1998. She began by helping with summer camps and soon after started teaching in the lesson program. Betsy learned to ride at the age of 6 and rode and competed until she was 21. She is a wife and mother of three children. She started her daughter, Katie, in lessons at River Hollow where she ran the Hull Prairie Pony Club until she and Katie came to Stonehaven in 1996. Betsy has a remarkable knowledge of horses and does a wonderful job of conveying that valuable information to her students. She is very much loved by all of us here at Stonehaven.
