Melody Carmichael Instructor Beginner - Intermediate Riders
Melody Carmichael began riding at Stonehaven Farms 10 years ago and little did she know that it would set her life on a course full of horses. After a few years of lessons, Melody began teaching beginner students and instructing during the summer camp program. A short time later she purchased her own horse and now she and her family live on a 10 acre farm with their own two horses and 3 boarders living in the back yard. Melody is a life long learner and has acquired a wealth of equestrian knowledge that she finds very rewarding to be able to convey to her students. She is always looking for fun ways to teach riders to become better horse people. We are so glad to have her as part of our Stonehaven family. |

Cathy Rohrs Instructor Beginner - Intermediate Riders
Cathy Rohrs has been affiliated with Stonehaven Farms since it's inception in 1992 when she started her daughter, Kelly, in lessons. However, she did not learn to ride a horse until a year later when she could not just stand on the ground and watch any longer. That was also the year that she teamed up with Donna to begin the Summer Camp Program. Soon after, she began instructing the beginner riders in private lessons and later went on to teach regularly in the lesson program. Cathy's 28 years as a teacher in the public schools makes her more than qualified to combine her teaching skills with an interest that she dearly loves. She considers the 13 years that she has worked with horses and riders a privilege and she jumps at the chance to share her enthusiasm for this life-long sport with riders of all ages.
